Editing Members and Footings

You can edit a single structural member or footing. Or, you can edit multiple members or footings of the same type.


Before you begin:
  • Create a structural grid.
  • Create at least one type of structural member or footing.

Editing Individual Piles
  1. To edit a single member, in the tree or from the 3D area, double-click the member or footing you want to edit.

    Note: To edit a single pile feature, use the context toolbar Edit Pile Feature . Double-clicking an individual pile feature results in editing the entire pile arrangement.

  2. To edit multiple members of the same type, in the tree or from the 3D area:
    1. Press Ctrl and select the members to edit.
    2. From the context toolbar, click the multiple edit command.
      For example, to edit five cast columns, from the context toolbar, click Edit Cast Columns .
    The member dialog box appears. If some of the properties have different values, the property displays with the Varies value. For example, if you edit some circular cast columns and some square cast columns, the column shape option includes Round, Square, Rectangle, and Varies.
  3. From the member dialog box, make your changes.
    The 3D area reflects the changes.
  4. To save your edits, click .
