Applied filters are cumulative and apply to the whole app except the Experimental Knowledge page. Filters remain active when you browse between pages of the app. You can add filters to a page from the following:

  • Add filters from the Refine panel
  • Add filters from a chart
  • Add filters from the top bar
  • Add filters from the Details page
Note: You can add filters from most charts. If nothing happens when you click a chart item, it means that you cannot add filters from this chart.

Applied filters appear on the Active Filters bar with the following color coding:

Blue background
Content associated with the filter appears on the page.
Red background and strikethrough keyword
Content associated with the filter is excluded from the page.
Gray background
Filter has no effect because another filter is overriding it.
White background
No content associated with the filter exists on the current page.

Save Filters

You can save filters on Overview pages so that they always apply when you open the page. Saved filters only apply to the page you save them on and not to the other pages of the application. Saved filters appear in a Saved section on the Active Filters bar.
