Full Text Search (FTS)

FTS searches for the entered search string in all alphanumeric string fields of the document. String fields include fields such as title, description, and author. This search is useful for when a user discovers data and does not know exactly what objects or properties are available.

Prefixed Search

Prefixed Search searches for a single property value such as a specific author, external identifier, or contributor. You can perform a prefixed search by taking an available property followed by a colon and value; for example, author: John Smith. You can also use logical operators to search using multiple criteria; for example, project: Project1 and author:John and status:Pending. The following properties are available for this type of search:

  • author
  • contributor
  • created_date
  • last_edited_date
  • external_identifier
  • project
  • status
  • description
