Editing Multiple Formulas

You can edit the levels and units of ingredients directly in the formula comparison grid. You can also clone a compared formula.

This task shows you how to:

Change the Level or Unit of an Ingredient in a Formula

You can change the level or the unit of an ingredient for a formula in the comparison.

Note:

All changes that you make to a formula are queued immediately for saving.
If your computer loses its connection to the Formulation Design server for any reason, an error message appears, and you cannot edit the formulas until the connection is re-established.

Before you begin: To perform this task, you must have the Formulation Designer 3DS role.

Do one of the following:
- To edit the wet % of an ingredient, double-click the cell in the appropriate Wet % column for the ingredient whose level you want to change.
- To edit the wet weight of an ingredient, expand the appropriate formula column, as described in "Comparing Multiple Formulas." Then, double-click the cell in the Wet Wt subcolumn for the ingredient whose level you want to change.
- To edit the unit of an ingredient, expand the appropriate formula column, as described in "Comparing Multiple Formulas." Then, double-click the cell in the Units subcolumn for the ingredient whose unit you want to change.
Enter the new level or unit of the ingredient, and press Enter.

You can clone a formula from the formula comparison grid. The new formula is automatically added to the formula comparison.

Before you begin: To perform this task, you must have the Formulation Designer 3DS role.

In the column header for the formula that you want to clone, click
In the menu that opens, click .
A copy of the formula is made, and added to the formula comparison. A tile for the new formula is added to the Multi-Formula Edit list in the left panel.
The new formula is saved with the name Copy of [formula name]. You can change the name by opening the formula, and editing the name in the Formula Properties panel.
