Viewing and Editing Processing Instruction Properties

You can view and edit the text of a processing instruction in its properties pane.

View Processing Instruction Properties

  1. In the formula grid, select the check box in the row of the processing instruction (whether standard or phase header) whose properties you want to view.
  2. Click Open/Close Dock in the vertical bar to the right of the formula grid.
    The Processing Instruction Properties pane opens.

Edit Processing Instruction Properties

Note: Changes that you make to properties are queued immediately for saving. This means that if your computer loses access to the Formulation Design server, for example because of a network outage, you never lose more than a few seconds of work. When you close a properties pane, all your edits are queued immediately for saving. Because properties are saved automatically, there is no user interface control for saving them.

Before you begin: To perform this task, you must have the Formulation Designer 3DS role.
In the Processing Instruction Properties pane, edit the text of the processing instruction.

You can also edit the text of the processing instruction directly in the formula grid. See "Editing a Processing Instruction."

Hide Processing Instruction Properties

When the Processing Instruction Properties pane is open, click Open/Close Dock at the top of the pane.
The Processing Instruction Properties pane collapses into a vertical bar.
