Map Area

The map area provides an overview of the pathway model as well as an interactive display of entity and interaction properties (initial state, formulas, effect).

When any of the panels are open and docked to the map area, click or to hide or show the panels.

When any of the panels are open and not docked to the map area, click and to maximize and minimize the panels.

for a selected entity or interaction: Displays the entity or interaction's Information panel.

for a selected entity: Allows you to connect the entity with any other entity or interaction in the model, opening the Create interaction panel.

The icons for the entities in the pathway model and their connections indicate their types and how they contribute to the behavior of the system.

Each entity in the pathway model has a tooltip reporting its type, also indicated by a symbol. The entity types help to quickly distinguish between different protein families, drug modalities, nucleic acids and so on.
