From the
Function section of the
action bar,
click
Parametric Plate
.
The
Parametric Plate dialog box appears.

Under Material & Orientation,
-
Select the required material from the list.
If the Resources Catalog or
the Resources Library resource is not set in Data Setup, you can click
More... to search and select the material
from database.

Specify the thickness.
- Optional:
Click to invert the material orientation.

Select the required thickness offset option.

Under Category & Name, select the required category
for parametric plate from the Category list.
If no dictionary is set in Data Setup, only the default category is available.
- Optional:
Clear the
Automatic check box and enter the required name in
the
Name box.
Note:
If a naming action rule is set in Rules Catalog or Rules
Library in Data Setup, and the
Automatic check box is selected, the structural
object is named automatically according to naming action rule. For more
information, see .

From the Contour list, select a .
A catalog browser or a library browser appears to let you
select a contour. If the Structure Reference Catalog or
the Structure Reference Library resource is not assigned
in Data Setup, you can click
More... to search and select the contour from
database.

In the
Contour Positioning area:
-
From the
Strategy list, select the required
position strategy.

Depending on the selected strategy, enter the required inputs.
The contour parameters and the bitmap image appear in the
Contour Parameters area of the dialog box

Under
Contour Parameters, modify the contour
parameters.

Click
Apply.
The inputs are applied to the selected contour and the
preview is available.

Click
OK.
The parametric plate is created.
- Optional:
To edit the parametric plate, select the parametric plate in the
work area
and click
Parametric Plate
on the
context toolbar.
