If the Resources Catalog or the Resources Library resource is not set in Data Setup, you can click More... to search and select the material from database.

    2. Specify the thickness.
    3. Optional: Click to invert the material orientation.
    4. Select the required thickness offset option.
  3. Under Category & Name, select the required category for parametric plate from the Category list.

If no dictionary is set in Data Setup, only the default category is available.

  4. Optional: Clear the Automatic check box and enter the required name in the Name box.

Note: If a naming action rule is set in Rules Catalog or Rules Library in Data Setup, and the Automatic check box is selected, the structural object is named automatically according to naming action rule. For more information, see .

A catalog browser or a library browser appears to let you select a contour. If the Structure Reference Catalog or the Structure Reference Library resource is not assigned in Data Setup, you can click More... to search and select the contour from database.

  6. In the Contour Positioning area:
    1. From the Strategy list, select the required position strategy.
    2. Depending on the selected strategy, enter the required inputs.

Important: After selecting the inputs, you cannot change the contour positioning strategy and contour.

The contour parameters and the bitmap image appear in the Contour Parameters area of the dialog box
  7. Under Contour Parameters, modify the contour parameters.
  8. Click Apply.
The inputs are applied to the selected contour and the preview is available.
  9. Click OK.
    The parametric plate is created.
  10. Optional: To edit the parametric plate, select the parametric plate in the work area and click Parametric Plate on the context toolbar.
