From the Detail section of the action bar,
click Opening on Profile.
The Opening on Profile dialog box appears.
From the
Category list, select the required opening category.
If no project dictionary is set in
Data Setup,
only the default category is available.
Select a profile.
The selected profile appears in the Applied to box.
In the Method list, select Standard.
In the Direction option, select either Trans. or Vert..
Click Definition.
The
Standard Opening dialog box appears.
Define the standard opening:
In Type list, select the opening type.
In the Contour list, select the contour of opening.
The contours are listed from the opening table defined in the Resources
Catalog or the Resources Library resource, set
in Data Setup.
Note:
If no Resources Catalog or
Resources Library resource is set in Data Setup, the Type list becomes
unavailable. But you can still create the catalog type opening by clicking
More... in the Contour list and:
Selecting the required opening reference from the catalog or library, if the
Structure Reference Catalog or the
Structure Reference Library resource is set in
Data Setup.
Searching the required opening reference in the database, if no
Structure Reference Catalog or
Structure Reference Library resource is set in
Data Setup.
In the Position list, select the required positioning
mode.
In the Longitudinal Parameters area, enter the required parameters.
In the Trans./Vert. Parameters area, enter the required parameters.
In the Orientation area, enter the angle value to change the orientation of the profile.
Important:
The change in the orientation of the profile is not visible when you create a Round type opening.
Select the Preview check box to preview the openings created on the profile.
The preview is displayed.
Click OK in the Standard Opening dialog box.
Click OK in the Opening on Profile dialog box.
The opening is created on the profile.The image below shows the standard openings created on profile using Spacing / Offset mode, with spacing 500mm and offset 200mm.
Create Pass Through Point on Standard Opening
You can create a center point and a centerline to detect the center of the standard opening on profile.
Select Yes in the Create Points and Lines list in the section.
Create a standard opening on profile.
Expand the tree.
Under the Opening_x node, select and . Right-click and select Hide/Show to display the center point and center line of the opening on profile.
The center point and center line appear.
Important:
You can set an action rule in Rules Catalog or Rules
Library in Data Setup to compute the creation of a center point and
centerline for the standard opening on profile according to the opening category.
When the action rule is assigned, then center point and center line are created for openings as per the defined setting and action rule.
To view a set of center points and center lines on a particular layer, you can assign an action
rule.
If the action rules are modified, you need to right-click the opening and select Reset Action Rule to apply the changes to the opening.
