Tree, Work Area, and Properties Description

Systems Structure Design provides commands to navigate and edit Functional and Logical data.

User Interface

The user interface is made of the three areas:

Areas Description
Tree Displays elements from the database, listed by category in folders.
Views Displays the content of the element that is selected in the tree.
Properties Displays instance and reference attributes for an element that is selected in the tree or in the Tree Graph View.

Views Area

The views area can display the following information:

Areas Description
Tree Graph View Displays the structure hierarchy and the connections between the objects. See Working in the Tree Graph View.
Grid View Displays a selected object, its content, and their properties. See About Objects Display in Grid View.
Relational View Displays the parents and children relation and the implemented and implementing objects. See Showing FL Linked Objects.

Grid View Toolbar

When a structure is displayed in the Grid View, a toolbar appears at the top of the page.

Command Description
Mass Update Perform a global update on the objects. See Updating Objects Attributes.
Custom Views Creates a profile where only the required attributes are displayed. See Creating a Custom Grid View.
Export Grid Content to CSV Exports the content of the Grid View in a .csv file. See Generating Output.
Print Grid Content Generates a printable view of the Grid View. See Generating Output.

Properties Area

Depending on the selected element, the properties area displays additional commands and details.

Change Actions

Working under a selected change action allows you to track and log most activity, ensuring the traceability of changes made to content. For more information, see Work Under a Change Action.
