Instantiating a Connection Assembly

This task explains how to instantiate a connection assembly.

  1. From the Assembly section of the action bar, click Connection Assembly Instantiation .
  2. In the Connection Assembly Instantiation dialog box, click or to browse a catalog or a library and select a connection assembly reference.
  3. In the Input box, select input members from the 3D area or the tree.

    You need to select the input members of the same type and shape displayed under the Type and Shape columns.

    The connection assembly is instantiated. The components of the assembly are listed in the dialog box.



  4. Optional: Perform the following actions:
    1. Edit the position of the connection plate and hole components using Edit Position .
    2. Modify the parameters of the components using Parameter Editor .
    3. Edit the components using Edit Component .
    4. Edit the connected elements for the hole and weld components using Edit Relation .
