You can change the position of a volume in the 3D area.

Move a Volume with a Robot

You can move a volume using the robot.

  1. Select the volume.
  2. From the Volume section of the action bar, click Move Volume .
  3. Use the commands to define the position and the orientation of the robot.
  4. Use the robot handles to move the volume.
  5. In the placement panel, click Move Volume to Selected 3D Position to validate the new position.

Move a Volume by Defining an Offset Distance

You can move a volume by specifying an offset.

  1. Select the volume.
  2. From the Volume section of the action bar, click Move Volume .
  3. Click Offset Positioning .
  4. In the 3D area, select a surface, an edge, or a point of another object.
  5. Optional: To edit the value of the offset, click it and enter the new value.
  6. Click Move Volume to Selected 3D Position to validate the new position.
