Create Component Volume

Select the product.
Note:
The selected product must not be in read-only.

From the Volume section of the action bar,
click Create Component Volume
.
- Optional:
Enter a name for the component volume.
Note:
By default, the volumes are created as 3D parts and they can have only one 3D
Shape. To add multiple 3D Shapes, you need to create the volume as a product
instead of a 3D part.

Optional: To create a product instead of a 3D part, in the
3D Part tab, clear the Create 3D part
option.
Create Derivation Volume

Select the product.
Note:
The selected product must not be in read-only.

From the Volume section of the action bar,
click Create Derivation Volume
.
- Optional:
Enter a name for the derivation volume.
Note:
By default, the volumes are created as 3D parts and they can have only one 3D
Shape. To add multiple 3D Shapes, you need to create the volume as a product
instead of a 3D part.

Optional: To create a product instead of a 3D part, in the
3D Part tab, clear the Create 3D part
option.
Create Interface Volume

Select the product.
Note:
The selected product must not be in read-only.

From the Volume section of the action bar,
click Create Interface Volume
.

Enter a name for the interface volume.
Note:
By default, the volumes are created as 3D parts and they can have only one 3D
Shape. To add multiple 3D Shapes, you need to create the volume as a product
instead of a 3D part.

Optional: To create a product instead of a 3D part, in the
3D Part tab, clear the Create 3D part
option.
