For product architecture designers, 3D Compose offers the following key capabilities:

  • Move and position any object by dragging it or snapping its axis system onto another component axis system.
  • Navigate and explore the structure of complex models.
  • Visualize the object's selection for positioning purposes through a cross-highlight available in both Product Structure Editor and 3D Compose.
  • Perform measurements and sectioning operations on the fly including lock section results.
  • Switch to High Definition mode.
  • Explode the model's representation.
  • Perform volume queries.
  • Reveal existing data related to geometry.
  • Display a grid to help you easily and precisely locate assembly components without storing or loading specific data or activating lineic element display.
  • Navigate the various levels of the structure of an assembly.
  • Print the current view using browser's standard print feature
  • Start a dedicated scenario to navigate a 3D scene.
  • Create a new filter or open an existing filter.

This app supports the transition mechanism. For more information, see Switching Apps.

You can use the 6WTags to filter the pointed elements (product, drawing, document, diagram layout or sheet) and apply colors to them. For more information, see Filtering with 6WTags.
