Create a Concept Surface from a Guide Curve and Sketches or Sections

You can create a concept surface from a guide curve and one or multiple sketches or sections.


Before you begin: Open a 3DShape containing a guide curve and a sketch or section.

Modifying Concept Surfaces
  1. To create a concept surface from a guide curve and sketches or sections, you can use two methods:

    First start the command:

    1. From the Concept section of the action bar, click Concept Surface .
    2. In the Concept Surface Creation Wizard, select Scenario 1 .
    3. Select a guide curve.

    4. Select a sketch or section.

    First select the input geometry. The matching scenario is selected automatically.

    1. Select a guide curve and a sketch or section.
    2. From the context toolbar, click Concept Surface Acquisition .
      In the Concept Surface Creation Wizard, Scenario 1 is preselected.
  2. Click Finish.
    The concept surface is created along the guide curve. If a sketch is selected, a section is automatically created from it and a copy of both sketch and section is created at the opposite side of the concept surface.
