Create a Concept Surface from Sketches or Sections

You can create a concept surface from one or multiple sketches or sections and an automatically created guide curve.


Before you begin: Open a 3DShape containing at least one sketch or section.

Modifying Concept Surfaces
To create a concept surface from a guide curve and sketches or sections, you can use two methods:
  1. From the Concept section of the action bar, click Concept Surface .
  2. In the Concept Surface Creation Wizard, select Scenario 3 .
  3. Select a sketch or a section.

  2. From the context toolbar, click Concept Surface Acquisition .
A concept surface is created using Scenario 3 . Two points and a guide curve between the points are created.
  1. The first point is created at the origin of the axis system of the sketch or section.
  2. The second point is created with a distance of 100mm in normal direction of the sketch or section plane.

If a sketch is selected, two sections are automatically created at start and end of the concept surface.
