Create a Section Using the Plane Scenario

You can create a section on a plane.

Before you begin: Open a 3DShape containing geometric element and a Concept Structure Engineering sketch.

Modifying Sections
  1. From the Concept section of the action bar, click Section .
  2. In the Section Creation Wizard, select the plane Scenario .
  3. Select a plane.


  4. Select a position on a geometric object or a plane.


  5. In the Sketcher app, create a sketch and exit .
    A sketch and a section derived from it are created.

    The section contains a section axis system, points, and curves which are derived from the sketch. The selected position defines the axis system origin. Its orientation is adopted from the selected object.
