User Groups List

The User Groups category for Collaboration and Approvals lets you access the user groups defined for your organization.

To access this page: in the navigation pane, click User Groups.

Columns and Fields

You can view the list of user groups either as a grid or as tiles. Use the toolbar to set the view:

  • for tile view
  • for grid view
The toolbar shows the icon for the current view, and its arrow opens a menu to select the required view.

The list or tile provides these details for each user group:

Column or Field Description
Title The title of the user group.
Description Details about the purposer of the user group. Does not show in tile view.
Members The number of people added to the user group.
Owner The person who created the user group. This column or field does not include users added to the Access Rights tab.
Name The internal name of the user group. This name cannot be changed. Does not show in tile view.

Filters

Click to filter the list of user groups displayed on the page. You can choose either of these filters:

  • All Groups
  • My Groups

You cannot use 6WTags to filter the list of user groups.

Actions/Toolbar Commads

In addition to changing the view, you can use these actions on the page toolbar:

Action Description
Export Export the list of user groups to a comma-separated values (CSV) file. The exported file contains the information provided in the grid view; it does not include the members or access rights information.
New User Group Create a user group. Enter a title and description and click Create. You must have the Leader or Author baseline access role. Restricted roles cannot create user groups.
Delete Delete the selected user groups. You must be the owner of the user group to delete it.

You must click Delete in the message to confirm that you want to delete the selected user groups.

Context Menu

In the tile view, you can click to open the context menu. In the grid view, you can right-click the user group title to open the context menu.

Command Description
Open Open the user group.
Delete Delete the selected user group. You must be the owner of the user group to delete it.

You must click Delete in the message to confirm that you want to delete the user group.

User Group Tabs

To open the tabs used to define the user group, use one of these methods:

  • Grid view: double-click a user group name.
  • Tile view: click > Open.
