Managing Route Approvals for an Object

You can add routes to and remove routes from an object's lifecycle states. You cannot create a route from this page; you can only add existing routes based on route templates. You can only add routes for the object's current or later states, not for any prior states. Also, you cannot add a route to the object's final state.

Required access roles: If you have access to an object, you have access to this page.

Before you begin: View the Routes category for the parent object. See Routes Page and Routes Summary Page.
  1. From the page Actions menu or toolbar, click Manage Route Approvals . The Manage Route Approvals page for the object opens, listing all routes for each state.

The current state of the objects shows in bold. For more details about a route, click its name.

  2. To add a new route:
    1. Click for the required state. The search page for a route template opens.
    2. Select the required route template. You can only select a single template.
    3. Click Submit.
  3. To remove an existing route, click its check box.
  4. Click Apply to save the changes and keep the page open; click Done to save the changes and close the window.

If you added a route to the object's current states, it starts automatically when you click Apply or Done.

If you removed a route, all tasks for that route are deleted.
