Create a Task Workflow
A project may need a task workflow that you can manage using the Collab Design Project.
- Open a project in the Navigation window.

Insert a task in your project:
- Method 1
- Right-click a node corresponding to the parent task to which you want to add a child task
(or-sub-task) and select Insert New Collaborative Main
Task....
The Collaborative Design Task / Collab Design Task Reference dialog box opens.
- Fill in the fields presented.
Tips: - Use the Definition field to explain what the task will be used for.
- Use the Description field to give instructions to designers you work with.
- Select the True option if you want the task to be supervised and checked by the project creator when completed. When selecting the option, a warning message appears at the end of the task (when designers are about to promote their tasks) so that they remember to have their tasks supervised and checked by the project creator.
- Click OK.
The new task is created and attached to the project.
- Right-click a node corresponding to the parent task to which you want to add a child task
(or-sub-task) and select Insert New Collaborative Main
Task....
- Method 2
- Right-click a node corresponding to the parent task to which you want to add a child task
(or-sub-task) and select Insert existing Collaborative Tasks.
The Add an existing collab Task dialog box opens.
- Proceed to a classical search to search for the existing task you want to attach to your project.
- Click OK.
The existing task is attached to your project as child task.
- Right-click a node corresponding to the parent task to which you want to add a child task
(or-sub-task) and select Insert existing Collaborative Tasks.
Important: If a task is already attached to the parent task as child task, it is not possible to attach it to another project. - Method 1
