Reading Laser Projection Files

You can read .ply, .xml (LPT), .lg (LASERGUIDE) or .lpd (LAP) files and display their content in the 3D area.

  1. From the Composites Collaboration section of the action bar, click Laser Projection File Reader .
  2. Select the file to read: .ply, .cal, .xml, .lg. .lpd.

    You can select a .ply file together with a .cal or .lpd file (for calibration points) or 2 .xml files (one for plies information, one for target points information).

  3. Select an Axis system from the list.
    The coordinates of the points are read in this axis system.
  4. Click Open to verify the content of the file.
  5. Click Read Files.
    The preview tree displays the elements to read. See Preview Tree for more information.
  6. In the previewer, select an icon to display the corresponding information.
