- To access the
App Options
panel, do one of the following:
- From the
Tools section of the action bar, click
App Options
.
- Right-click inside the
work area
or the
top bar,
and select
.
- Click Filter Variants .
- In the Custom Filters dialog box, click New.
The Filter Customization dialog box opens to let you define your filters. -
In the Available Filters column, select the filters you want to apply, and then click
the right arrow to transfer them to the Selected Filters column.
You can:
- Create as many filter variants as required.
- Select multiple filters at the same time.
- Remove a filter from the list of the selected filters by selecting it, and then
clicking the left arrow.
- In the Command Properties area, enter a name for the filter variant in the
Title box.
You can group two or more variants together under a single name. This name is mandatory
and unique. - Optional: In the User Alias
box, enter the alias to be assigned to the selected variant.
After closing the Filter Customization Custom Filters and dialog boxes, type c:alias_name then press Enter in the power input
box to apply the filter variant.

Click Ctrl, or Shift, or
Other to include these keys in the shortcut displayed in the
Accelerator box.
- Click OK.
The filter variants you defined are displayed in the Custom Filters dialog box. - From the list, select the filter variants to be applied then click Apply.
The Custom Filters dialog box also lets you: - Modify the selected variant by clicking Edit.
- Remove the selected variant by clicking Delete. Multiselection is not
supported.
- Select elements in the 3D area or the tree.
Only elements corresponding to the variants you defined can be selected. For example, if you define a variant for product selection, you can only select the whole product whatever the element you click. The following
