Lets you share content with other users. You can also
share content to collaborative spaces, save modifications, export
objects, and print content. Its content may vary depending on the
current app. The following entries are provided:
- Save: save modifications to the database
- Share: 3DSwym, 3DDrive, and Collaborate with EBOM
- Instant Collaboration
- Export: export content to different types of files
- Print: print the active document
- Publish: publish the selected object
Save
You can save your work by going to the Share
menu in the top bar and clicking Save in the list (or you can
also enter Ctrl+S).
Save All
You can save all the tabs of the session at the same time using
the . The Save with Options dialog
box opens. For more information, see 3DEXPERIENCE
Native Apps: Native Apps
User's Guide: Advanced: Saving: Saving Content with Advanced
Options. Save with Options
You can save your work with more options through the
Save with Options dialog box. You can, for
example, save as a duplicate or a new revision. For more
information, see 3DEXPERIENCE
Native Apps: Native Apps
User's Guide: Advanced: Saving: Saving Content with Advanced
Options. Local Save
You can save a 3DEXPERIENCE session without committing the modifications in the database. For
more information, see Installation and Setup: Administrate:
3DEXPERIENCE Platform: Native Apps Preferences: All Preferences: Social
and Collaborative: Global Design Management: Collaborative IP Management: Local Save & Exit. Share to
Collaborative Spaces
You must first select your object and then go to the
Share menu in the Top Bar and select Share to Collaborative Spaces.
The Share to Collaborative Spaces
command is available from a Navigation tab or from search results and only for product-related content.
Sharing to other collaborative spaces leads to expanding the
selected object from the database and duplicating the resulted
content in the targeted collaborative space. This action can be
modified through the
PLMAuthoringDefaultPropagationScope
Business Logic. The
PLMIdentificationInitialization Business
Logic also allows you to valuate PLM attributes with a specific
naming policy. The security of the
Share command is contextual to the responsibility the user has on the Collaborative Space of the selected object.
Share is authorized even if the user is
connected as Contributor or Author. If nothing is selected, the Collaborative Spaces item is grayed
in the Share menu. To share content
from a collaborative space to another collaborative space, you must
be Leader and at least Author on the targeted collaborative space. Share to
Community
You can publish content to a community that has already been
created in 3DSwym. For more information, see 3DSwym User's Guide: Community Management. First
select your object and then go to the Share
menu in the Top Bar and select Community. The Share
to Community dialog box that appears lets you choose
the platform and then the community to which you want to publish the
selected content. You can either share your object as a media only
or add a post to the Blog section, a question
to the Question section or a suggestion in the
Ideas section of your community.
Note:
You are allowed to share 3D models and other documents
(containing only one file) to the 3DSwym communities. For more information about the supported document
types, see 3DSwym User's Guide: Media and Codecs. A simplified model is
computed from the 3D model using various simplification techniques
that include standard tessellation and decimation operations (Hidden
Surface Removal and medium compression). This resulting simplified
model is then exported as a 3D XML file that is finally published to the community.
Share to 3DDrive
Environment: Cloud only. Required responsibilities: Author, Leader. You can generate 3D XML files from physical products, 3D Parts and 3D Shapes, and publish
them in 3DDrive. If you have access to several 3DEXPERIENCE drives, you can
select one of them from the list. Select the folder where you want
to publish the object in your drive. You can also modify the name of
the 3D XML file to be created. Notes:
- 3D Shapes can only be published as 3D XML files from Product Finder.
- If you select a node of an assembly, it is published
without context but with all its children.
