BOM based Qualification for SEP

You can qualify a SEP in context of a BOM for a Standard Part using this function.

Only users with Component Qualification Engineer can perform part qualifications.

Before you begin:

Access the Properties page of a part.

  1. In the navigation pane, click Equivalents.
  2. Select the Supplier Equivalent Parts tab.
  3. Select a SEP and from the page toolbar, click Actions > Qualify.

    Ensure that the SEPs in the list are not qualified

    Enter details about the qualification, including the following:

    Field NameHow to Enter

    Type

    Enter the qualification type.

    Name

    Enter the name for the qualification.

    Usage Location

    Enter the location or click and search the usage location.

    Preference

    Select whether the location is Preferred or Not Preferred.

    Qualification Description

    Enter the qualification description details.

    Preference Score

    Enter the preference score.

    Supplier Location

    Select the supplier location from the drop down menu.

    Choose Assembly

    Click and select the required Assembly from the results to create a qualification in context of a BOM.

  4. Click Done.
    The Selected SEP is qualified for a given Enterprise Part and icon indicates the qualification under the Qualification Column for the SEP.
