Creating a Drop-Off

You can create a drop-off, either from a slope, or from curves.

Note: This task is available in Composites Design.

  1. From the Zones Design section of the action bar, click Drop Off .
  2. Select a Reference surface.
  3. Select a drop-off curve.
  4. Click Reverse, or the green arrow , if the Drop-off direction is not correct.
  5. Optional: Enter an Offset value and verify the Offset direction (blue arrow).
    For example, if you have selected a ply border as illustrated below. The offset positions the drop-off curve at the proper location.

  6. Key in a Slope value.
  7. Click Preview.
    The drop-off is displayed.

  8. Alternatively, select a drop-off curve and a bottom curve.


  9. Click Preview.


    The blue arrows show the start and end, whereas the red arrows show left and right.
