Editing Periodic Review Details

Before a periodic review is in the Released state, the part's or technical specification's owner can disable periodic reviews on it, change the periodic review interval, and assign a different Subject Matter Expert. The owner and the Document Center Administrator can assign a different Subject Matter Expert to the periodic review and provide a reason for the change when it is in the Released state.

Before you begin: Open the object whose periodic review details you want to edit.

About Periodic Reviews
  1. From the page toolbar, select Actions > Periodic Review > Edit Details .
  2. Edit these details as needed for the part or technical specification that is not yet in the Released state:

    Note: You must be the part's or technical specification's owner to edit the periodic review details before it is released.
    Field NameDescription
    Periodic Review EnabledSelect Yes to enable or No to disable periodic reviews for this object.
    Periodic Review Interval (In Months)Type the number of months that should pass between periodic reviews of this part or technical specification.
    Subject Matter ExpertTo select the Subject Matter Expert responsible for periodically reviewing this part or technical specification, start typing a user's name and select from the list, or click to search for the user's name.

  3. Edit these details as needed for the part or technical specification that is in the Released state:

    Note: You must be the part's or technical specification's owner or the Document Center Administrator to edit the periodic review details after it is released.
    Field NameDescription
    Subject Matter ExpertTo select a different Subject Matter Expert responsible for periodically reviewing this part or technical specification, start typing a user's name and select from the list, or click to search for the user's user.
    Reason For ChangeType the reason that you are making changes to the periodic review details.

  4. Click Done.
