You can apply a template to product data that does not have an attached template. The template must be in the release state to apply it to data.
Before you begin: Required access roles:
- Baseline: Owner
- App-Specific: Template Administrator
- Open a part or technical specification for which you want to apply a template.

In the page toolbar, click Apply Template

Enter the following details:

| Template | From the list, select a template. |
| Status | Select one of the following options: By default, Permanent is selected. |
| Expiration Date | The expiration date of template. Notes:
- By default the date is Dec 30, 9999.
- You can change the expiration date if the status is temporary.

| Render Language | Select the rendering language. By default, English is selected. |

Click OK.
Note:
If you make a template Obsolete after you apply it to data, the template cannot be used on any data. The data that
has an Obsolete template applied to it is not affected.
The template is attached to the part.
