Opening a Technical Specification

You can open a technical specification and view its details.

Before you begin: Required access roles:
  • Baseline: Author, Leader
  • App-Specific: Product Data Originator, Restricted Product Data Originator
  1. From the home page, click Product Specifications > Technical Specifications.
  2. In the Name column, click the name of technical specification.

    The following table lists the tabs found on this page and links to information about each tab.

    Specification Reports Displays the preview of reports configured as part of the template for a technical specification.
    Note: This tab only appears when you apply a template to a technical specification.

    Where Used Displays the characteristic information, the list of all part and shared table where the technical specification product data is connected through characteristic relationships. Where Used or Collaboration List
    Related Lists the parts that are connected with the technical specification product data through the part specification relationship. Also lists the Change Actions and the Owning Region for each product data object. Where Used or Collaboration List
    Reference Documents - You can add reference documents to the technical specification. Reference Documents

    Collaboration - Displays the information about Lifecycle, Routes, Discussions, Issues, Subscribe, Tasks or Signatures, and Approvals of the technical specification. Collaboration Page
