Generating an Extraction Assembly

You can generate an assembly from extraction set.

Before you begin: Create an extraction. See Generating an Extraction.
  1. From the Model section of the action bar, click Extraction Assembly .
  2. In the tree, select the extraction set.

The generated assembly contains:

  • A root product containing the part having the current extraction set, provided the part is not already created under the root product.
  • A subproduct containing the parts that is created for each output panel of the output set.

  • An engineering connection of revolute type between the adjacent panel parts.
  • Created publications for axis systems generated during the extraction.

Every part of the subproduct corresponding to the output panel contains:

  • The carton parameters.
  • The external thickness parameters, SHMBoundingBoxXDimension for sheet width and SHMBoundingBoxYDimension for sheet height.
  • The external references for surface and axis systems.
  • The panel feature created using the midsurface position option.
  • The plane tangent to the panel surface, whose origin matches with the origin of the corresponding axis system in the extraction set.
Note: After the assembly creation, if you delete or update the material present on the last feature containing the selected extraction set, you must delete or update the material applied on the panel feature in the assembly.
