The Initialization File

For the 3DSpace Service, the variables are in mxEnv.sh.

The .ini file is created on Linux upon closing the Studio Modeling Platform for the first time. It is used to store optional settings, preferences, and changes to window size and location. The file is stored in the user’s home directory, where it is referred to for subsequent Studio Modeling Platform sessions. As on Windows, when preferences or the size and location of a window are altered, the changes are written to the file, and it is saved when the session is closed.

Live Collaboration Server Environment

On Linux, “typical” settings are part of the default startup scripts for the server (such as startweblogic.sh) in the same way as other 3DSpace clients. Likewise, “optional” variables may be set in the other configuration vehicles available to every Linux client: startup shell scripts, .ini file, or the MatrixIniDefaults program. Keep in mind that these settings on the server will be used for all Web users.
