For .ini settings that are intended to specify a personal preference, properties can be added on person objects for web users to override values set for the server. Only a few environment variables are appropriate to set as person properties for users of web apps. They are:

  • MX_SITE_PREFERENCE
  • MX_ALIASNAME_PREFERENCE
  • MX_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE

Note: Language aliases are not supported for use with ENOVIA apps. Translations of schema are handled via Java resource bundles. Therefore, MX_ALIASNAME_PREFERENCE and MX_LANGUAGE_PREFERENCE should not be set in the enovia.ini file for the 3DSpace Service.

For more information on adding properties to persons, see the MQL guide.
