Managing Thumbnail for Chapters

You can add or replace, change image background, and reset the default image of a thumbnail.

Before you begin: Open a chapter in the Design IP Classification app.

  1. Select a chapter.
  2. To assign an image to the selected chapter, you can do one of the following:
    • Select Manage Thumbnails from the Edit section of the action bar.
    • Right-click the selected chapter and select Chapter > Manage Thumbnails.
    The Manage Thumbnail dialog box appears.
  3. To add or change the thumbnail of the selected chapter, click Add/Replace Thumbnail .
    The Select Image File dialog box appears.
  4. Select the image or type the name of the image in the File name box and click Open.
    The selected image appears as a thumbnail and the previous image is replaced by the selected image.
    Notes:
    • The thumbnail supports the following image formats only (.JPEG and .PNG).
    • It is impossible to add multiple images.

    The Add/Remove Image Background becomes active. By default, the Add/Remove Image Background is inactive.

  5. Optional: To display the default image of the catalog, select Reset To Default .
    The previous image is lost.
  6. To open a catalog browser, select Catalog Browser from the Tools section of the action bar.
    The Object Selection dialog box appears.
  7. To search for objects (such as root folder, folder, catalog and chapter), you can do one of the following:
    • In the box, enter your search criteria (with or without wildcards) and click Search.
    • Click Advanced Search.
    A list of objects corresponding to your search criteria appears.
  8. Select the object of your choice and click OK.
  9. To display the catalog in the thumbnail format, click Thumbnail View .

    You can also view the thumbnail image of the catalog in a search results, a Catalog Browser, Content Chooser and Manage Keywords.

    Note: There is no visual identification to identify a thumbnail of a chapter in Catalog Browser tree view.
