Saving a Filter

You can explain how to save a filter as a persistent query.

Before you begin: You must be in one of the filtering interfaces:

  • Catalog Filter of the Design IP Classification app.
  • Filter Assistant of the Browser and the Immersive Browser

Required access roles:

Baseline: Leader

Inserting a Persistent Query
  1. To save the filter as a Persistent Query, click Save Query .
    The New / Document Customized dialog box appears.
  2. In the New / Document Customized dialog box:
    • Enter a name in the box and
    • Click OK to save
    Important:
    • The Name must be unique. If you attempt to create a filter query that has already been created and saved in the database, a popup message appears and a time stamp will be appended to the filter query name to make it unique.
    • All mandatory attribute information must be completed before proceeding.
  3. Click Finish. The filtered query is saved in the database.
  4. If your proposed name was not unique and you received the warning message, the unique document name with a time stamp is automatically populated into the Name field.
    Note: The filter that is saved in the database can also be used for the creation of the persistent query.
