  1. Select a chapter.
  2. To insert a persistent query under the chapter, you can do one of the following:
    • Select Persistent Query from the Edit section of the action bar.
    • Right-click the selected chapter and select Insert > Persistent Query.

The command is not available for an enterprise catalog chapter.

    A message appears.
  3. To select persistent query, you can do one of the following.
    • From the tabs, select a persistent query attached to another chapter or from the search result.
    • Type a search string in the search box of the top bar and click Search. An immersive table appears. Select a persistent query from the table.
Notes: The mouse pointer changes to when you select a persistent query and it changes to when you select an object other than persistent query.

The filter content is inserted under the chapter.

    Tips:
    • If you open the same catalog later and expand it manually, then the filter content is computed dynamically.
    • It is impossible to apply the persistent query to the content by using the Expand All command.
    • If persistent queries are inserted under branches, the Expand operations stop at that level. To access the filtered content, you can manually expand those branches.
    • It is impossible to apply a persistent query to the same catalog.
