About Batch Rendering

The Render Batch dialog box helps you define the options to render multiple viewpoints and configurations of a product.

This feature is useful for marketing purposes, for example, if you want to see how your product looks from different camera viewpoints.

Rendering a Batch

General Information

A job is created for each combination of camera viewpoints and product configurations.

The batch rendering process is based on the background rendering options.

If there are several ambiences in the experience, only the active ambience is included in the rendering process.

Output Images

When the rendering process is finished, the rendered images are stored in the image directory you defined in the Preferences.

Each job has its own directory.

The name of a rendered image has the following format: <Image Directory> / <Project Name> / <Date-Hour> / CameraX - Product Y [- Configuration Z] [-Layer].png

Element Description
<Image Directory> Directory where all the rendered images are stored.
<Project Name> Name of the project.
<Date-Hour> Date and time when the job started.
CameraX - Product Y [- Configuration Z] Names of the camera, the product, and the product configuration that are rendered.
Note: If the product configuration is not selected or is unavailable, the rendering process ignores the product configuration.
[-Layer] Name of the rendered layer.
Note: Layers are rendered separately, and are optional. If you select one or more layers, the layers appear in the file name.

Here is an example without a selected layer: c:\Temp\FridgeCatalog\2020_04_25-13-29-49\FrontCamera-MyFridge-White.png

  • FrontCamera is the camera.
  • MyFridge is the product.
  • White is the configuration.

Here is an example with a selected layer: c:\Temp\FridgeCatalog\2020_04_25-13-29-49\FrontCamera-MyFridge-White-Alpha.png

  • FrontCamera is the camera.
  • MyFridge is the product.
  • White is the configuration.
  • Alpha is the selected layer.
