Editing Images

You can modify images in an experience.

Insert Images

You can insert images into an experience. You can only insert images that are associated with an engineering document.

  1. In the tree, under Resources, right-click the Images node and select Insert existing image.
  2. To search for an image, select the engineering document type, and enter a search criteria.
  3. In the results list, right-click the image and select Insert in experience.

    Tip: You can also drag the image to your experience.

Update Images

You can update images.

  1. To update an image, do the following:
    1. Import the image file again.
    2. In the dialog box, click Yes to replace the current image.
  2. To update an image from an experience screenshot, do the following:
    1. In the tree, under Resources, right-click the Images node and select Update image from capture.
    2. Specify the size of the screenshot and click OK.

Edit Image Properties

You can edit existing image properties in the Properties panel.

  1. Optional: If the Properties panel is not already open, click Properties Panel .
  2. In the panel, modify the properties as required:
    OptionDescription
    Name Defines the name of the image.
    Dimension Defines the image size.

Manage Assets

You can open the asset in another app.

Note: This feature is only available when you work with images that are associated with engineering documents.

  1. In the Properties panel, under General and next to the Asset property, click Context menu.
  2. To explore the asset in Product Finder, select Explore Asset.
