Edit Products Properties

You can edit existing product actors properties from the Properties panel.

For more information about this panel, see Properties Panel.

  1. Select a product actor in the work area.
  2. Optional: If the Properties panel is not already open, click Properties Panel .
  3. In the panel, modify the properties as required (name, scale, etc.).

Expose Parts (or Subproducts) from the 3D area

You can expose parts (or subproducts) of a product actor to easily configure complex product structures.

For the purpose of the scenario, you will expose a part from the 3D area.

  1. In the 3D area, select a product structure.
  2. On the context toolbar, click Level Selector .
    A scale appears.
  3. Move along the scale and select a level.

    Tips:
    • Move the pointer to the right to explore the highest level of the structure.
    • Move the pointer to the left to explore the lowest level.

    The corresponding part is highlighted in the 3D area. In the Project panel, the product actor is exploded and the highlighted part is exposed.

Expose Parts (or Subproducts) from the Tree

You can expose parts (or subproducts) of a product actor to easily configure complex product structures.

  1. In the tree, hover over a product structure and click Explore to display parts or subproducts.

    To stop displaying parts or subproducts, click Done.

  2. Hover over the part or subproduct you want to expose, and then click Expose.

Remove Exposed Subproduct Actors

You can remove exposed subproduct actors.

In the tree, right-click the actor and select Remove Exposition or Repair > Remove Exposition.

Manage Product Assets

You can open the asset in another app or in Product Finder.

In the Properties panel, under General and next to the Asset property, click Context menu and do one the following:
  • To open the asset in another app, select Open.
  • To explore the asset in Product Finder, select Explore Asset.
  • To associate a new asset with a product actor, select Reassign.

Note: The commands described above are not available with all types of assets.
