Equipment Design Access Model

Equipment Design does not use the 3DEXPERIENCE platform 3DSpace baseline configuration. You can access Equipment Design from the Compass, but you cannot use it with 3DDashboard.

Equipment Design includes the following app-specific access roles that your business administrator assigns to users. You may have one or more of these roles assigned to you. When you log in, you have the access assigned to that role. You can use the Me > My Credentials dialog box to switch roles without logging out.

Each role is described below.

Access Role Description
Reader Read access to any data
Contributor Contributor can access and use the Jog Mechanism command, as well as load design data and validate the tooling/resource. No modification/creation of data.
Author

All commands offered by Equipment Design application should be accessible and usable by the Author, including:

Leader No specific commands available for Leader. However, the Leader is allowed to use all the commands listed for Creator and Experimenter roles.
Owner No specific commands available for Owner.

Content Lifecycles

Equipment Design creates data categorized as Design/Definition with related maturity graph.

The controller information is contained in a PLMRepresentation.
