Creating Modelica Parameters from Knowledgeware Parameters

You can create Modelica parameters from Knowledgeware parameters.

Important: To keep the link between Knowledgeware parameters in the physical model and the Modelica parameters, select Keep link with selected object from Me > Preferences > Common Preferences > Object Properties > 3D Shape > Infrastructure.   1. From the Behavior Tools section of the action bar, click Generate from Knowledgeware .
    The Generate from Knowledgeware dialog box appears.
  2. To select the Knowledgeware parameter set to create Modelica parameters from:
    1. Select the Parameter set: box.
    2. From the tree, select the Knowledgeware or PLM parameter set.
    The name of the parameter set appears in the Parameter set: box.
  3. To select the parent class where the generated Modelica parameters should be inserted:
    1. Select the Insert In: box.
    2. From the Package Browser, or from the tree, select the class where you want to insert the Modelica parameters.
  4. Optional: To create formulas between the Knowledgeware parameters and the Modelica parameters, select Create formulas between parameters.

    By default, this option is selected.

  5. Click OK.
    The result is:
    • The Modelica parameters are generated, in the selected class, from the Knowledgeware or PLM parameter set.
    • If the corresponding option is selected, formulas are created between the Knowledgeware parameters and the Modelica parameters.
    • The Modelica parameters are displayed in the Parameter and Variable Editor. See Exposing Modelica Parameters as Knowledgeware Parameters.
