These properties enable the categories for reference documents added to controlled documents.

For more information, see Configuring Contextual Categories of Reference Documents.

Property Name Property Description Valid Values
enoDocumentControl.ReferenceDocuments.EnableContextualCategories=

Enables or disables contextual categories for reference documents. If enabled, you can categorize the reference document added to a controlled document. Default is false.

true or false
enoDocumentControl.ReferenceDocuments.ContextualCategoriesRangeValues=

Defines the range values for contextual categories. The Business Administrator can define the range values. By default, categories are not defined.

comma-separated range values
enoDocumentControl.ReferenceDocuments.Validation=

Specifies when reference documents are added or removed from a controlled document. If enoDocumentControl.ReferenceDocuments.Validation=true, then reference documents are added or removed when the controlled document is in a state below In Approval.

If enoDocumentControl.ReferenceDocuments.Validation=true and enoDocumentControl.ReferenceDocuments.EnableContextualCategories=true, then the promotion of the controlled document to the In Approval state is blocked if any of its reference documents are not categorized. Once the controlled document reaches the In Approval state, you cannot edit the reference document categories. Default is false.

If these two properties are enabled, then the Finalize Reference Categories task is visible and mandatory for Step 2 Peer Review of the Controlled Document Process Steps. The task is complete once all the reference documents are categorized.

If false, or the controlled document is in a state below In Approval, then you can edit the category using Enable Edit in the Reference table of the controlled document. You can also apply the same category to multiple reference documents.
