Attributes groups are collections of related attributes. Attribute groups are associated with document templates. The same attribute group can be associated with more than one document template. The attribute groups are added to the properties of documents created from the document template. When creating a document from a document template with attribute groups, the user can enter or select values for the attributes in the template's attribute groups. Attributes can belong to more than one attribute group, but can only belong to one attribute group associated with a specific document template. Attributes can have different default and assigned values in different attribute groups. Attributes can be defined as mandatory in one attribute group and be optional in other attribute groups. Attributes can have different ranges in different attribute groups. Each attribute group is displayed as a separate section at the bottom of the Properties page for the documents and document templates with which it is associated. All attribute groups associated with the document or document template are listed alphabetically on its Properties page. The attributes within each attribute group are also listed alphabetically. | |||||||||||
