Peer Review Page

The Peer Review page lists the peer reviews associated with the controlled document. All peer reviews must be completed before the document can be promoted to the In Approval state.

Important: This app stores personal data in some settings. To follow good personal data management practices, Business Administrators might need to edit these settings to remove personal data, such as names, email addresses, and phone numbers.

To access the Peer Review page for a quality system document:

  1. Open the required quality system document. See Opening a Quality System Document.
  2. In the navigation pane, click Peer Review.

Columns

Column NameDescription
NameEnter a descriptive title for the peer review.
(Status)The status of the peer review:

IconDescription
Peer review completed.
Peer review rejected.
Peer review due soon.
Peer review overdue.

Due DateThe due date for this peer review.
AssigneeThe person who needs to complete this peer review.
InstructionsA detailed explanation of what the assignee is expected to do to complete this peer review.
Allow DelegationIndicates whether the assignee is able to delegate this peer review to another person.

Actions/Toolbar Commands

These actions are only available if the controlled document is in the Draft or In Work states.

Create New

Only available if you are the controlled document's owner or have the Document Center Administrator (DCA) role.

Allows you to create a new peer review for the controlled document.Creating a Peer Review
Delete

Only available if you are the controlled document's owner or have the Document Center Administrator (DCA) role.

Allows you to delete the peer review for the controlled document. -
Complete

Only available if you are the assignee of the selected peer review.

Allows you to complete the peer review then approve the controlled document's content. You must provide a comment about why you are approving the controlled document's content.
Note: The assignee of the peer review task is automatically granted Review access to the controlled document. If the peer review task is reassigned to another user, the controlled document's owner must manually grant "Checkin" access to that user so that the new assignee can complete the peer review task.
Completing a Peer Review
Reject

Only available if you are the assignee of the selected peer review.

Allows you to perform the peer review and reject the controlled document's content. You must provide a comment about why you are rejecting the controlled document's content.-
