Storage Condition Page

This page lists identifiers that provide information about the storage requirements of the medical device product. It also provides precautions that need to be taken to handle the medical device.

To access this page:

  1. From the Device Identification List page or the home page, click the required DI number.
  2. Select the Device Characteristics category.
  3. Click the Storage Condition tab.

Columns

Section Column Name Description
Name The automatically-generated name of the storage condition. The first row shows the product details, all other rows show the storage condition.
Title The descriptive name of the storage condition.
Type The item type on this row.
State The current lifecycle state of the storage condition: Exists.
Storage Condition Condition Type Defines when this condition applies:
  • Before Use
  • After Use
Shelf Life The shelf life of the product.
Handling Type How the product should be handled:
  • Handling Environment Atmospheric Pressure
  • Handling Environment Humidity
  • Handling Environment Temperature
  • Special Storage Conditions
  • Storage Environment Atmospheric Pressure
  • Storage Environment Humidity
  • Storage Environment Temperature
Condition Indicates any special storage requirements for the product.
Low Value The minimum temperature at which the product should be stored.
High Value The maximum temperature at which the product should be stored.
Unit of Measure The unit of measure for the condition:
  • milibar
  • degf (degrees Fahrenheit)
  • Cel (degrees Celsius
  • Kdeg (degrees Kelvin)
  • kPa (kilopascal)
  • Percent (%) Relative Humidity
Description Additional details about the storage conditions.

Actions

Action Description For More Information
Add Existing Adds the existing storage conditions to the device identification, which are not connected to it. -
Remove Storage Conditions Removes the selected storage conditions. -
Delete Delete the storage condition.
Note: The device identifier must be in the Draft or the Review state.

Insert new row Inserts a new storage condition row in edit mode. Adding Storage Condition Details
> Insert Above Inserts a new row above the selected row. --
> Insert Below Inserts a new row below the selected row. --
Remove inserted row(s) Removes the selected newly inserted row. --
Enable Edit Activates edit mode in which you can insert rows and remove newly inserted rows. In edit mode, you can also modify the following fields.
  • Title
  • Condition Type
  • Shelf Life
  • Handling Type
  • Condition
  • Low Level
  • High Level
  • Unit of Measure
  • Description
After you make the required changes, click Save to save the details and click Disable Edit to exit edit mode.
