Annotating an Image

You can upload an image to a Leanget and annotate it. You can also add E-Notes or sketch directly on a blank Leanget.

You can then display the Leanget in a Live Meeting. For more information, see Running a Live Meeting.

This task shows you how to:

Using the Sketch

Before you begin: Add the Sketch Leanget to a board. For more information, see Add Leangets.
  1. From a board, tap Sketch.
  2. To upload an image to the Leanget, tap from the toolbar, and select an image file, such as a diagram:

    Tip: Alternatively, you can drag an image directly from your file explorer to the Leanget.

    The image is uploaded in the background layer.
    Tip: To manage the image, tap it and use the commands menu that displays:
    • Tap to switch between the front and background layers
    • Use the sizing handles to decrease or increase its size
    • Tap to delete it.
  3. Manage the layers:

    • Tap to switch to the front layer
    • Tap to switch to the background layer.

  4. Tap to pan the sketch.
  5. Tap to open the mini-map panel. This panel displays a part of the sketch, and a simplified view of the overall sketch:
    • Tap the visible area and move it to recenter it.
    • Swipe the visible area with two fingers to pan it.
    • Zoom in or out of the visible area:
      • Spread your fingers, or tap to zoom in
      • Pinch your fingers, or tap to zoom out.

      Note: The zoom level can be set between 25 and 250 %. From the context menu, you can tap to reset the zoom to 100%.

    Tap again to close the mini-map panel.

  6. Annotate the image:
    • Tap to pick a new color (pen)
    • Tap to pick a new color (highlighter)
    • Tap or right-click to erase parts of your annotation
    • Tap to add a text field. A toolbar displays and lets you manage it:
      • selects the text
      • defines the selected text's formatting
      • defines the field's formatting
      • defines the field's background color
      • sets the field as a background element
      • copies the field's content
      • deletes the field.

    Tip: You can change the line thickness in the widget preferences. For more information, see Widget Preferences.

Issue Cause Solution
The pen shifts to eraser mode with any sensitivity level. Your finger is detected as an eraser. Disable the automatic detection:Once the automatic detection is disabled, you can either:
  • Keep it disabled.
  • Try using a different sensitivity level:
    • Open the Widget Preferences menu.
    • Set Auto Detect Eraser to a lower sensitivity level.
    • Click Save.

Using the Picture Viewer

Before you begin: Add the Picture Viewer Leanget to a board. For more information, see Add Leangets.
  1. From a board, tap Picture Viewer.
  2. To upload an image to the Leanget, tap from the toolbar, and do one of the following:
    • Tap to load a file, then tap the new uploaded file to display it.
    • Tap an already uploaded file from the list to display it.
    • Drag an image file directly from your file explorer and into the Leanget.
    The image is uploaded.
  3. Annotate the image with E-Notes, stickers, or members.
