Creating and Updating Fasten Steps

You can use the Create/Update Fasten steps command to retrieve all assigned parts on a selected Manufacturing Assembly or Installation and its predecessors, and all the fasteners that are joined to these parts, and automatically assign the fasteners on the correct positions in the MBOM graph.

Before you begin: Open your product and Manufacturing Assembly data in your app. An Item-Product scope is required.
Recommendation: Select the Use same Fasten step reference to implement fasteners in Me > Preferences > App Preferences > Simulation > Process Engineering > Fastened Item Definition > Fastened Items. That way, the same Fasten step reference is created for identical fasteners, for example fasteners that have the same diameter.
