Balance the Workload on Systems

In this step, you will sequence and balance operations between systems using the Workload Balancing command.

  1. Select the root General system in the tree.
  2. From the Authoring section of the action bar, click Workload Balancing .
    The operations are automatically sequenced in the Gantt chart.

    In the Workload Balancing panel, the three systems are displayed in columns, which are divided into operations. The General System C exceeds the cycle time.

  3. In the Workload Balancing panel, select the rectangle at the bottom of General System C.
    A tooltip gives information about the operation and the operation is highlighted in the tree.
  4. Drag the selected rectangle to the bottom of General System B.
    The operation is added at the end of General System B.
  5. Drag more loading operations of General System C above the previously moved operations.

The operations are now balanced on the systems.

The Gantt chart is updated.
