Defining a Bevel User-Defined Function
You can create a bevel UDF and add it to the bevel chapter of the feature catalog.

In the top bar, select Add
> Content and select 3D Part.
A new tab opens with a new product. -
In the tree, right-click the product and select Properties.
The Properties dialog box appears.
- Enter a name in the Title window (such as My_Web_Bevel) and click OK.
- Use the tools provided in the Generative Shape Design app to create a shape for the Bevel UDF.

From the Compass, click Social and Collaborative
Apps
and select Data Setup.
Note: Only the Owner role can start Data Setup.

From the Resource Tables tab, locate Structure
Fabrication Resources.
A resource table (StrMfg_PRM) exists under Structure Fabrication Resources.

Right-click the imported resource table and select Edit the selected
Resource Table.
A new window lists the resource table contents and a 3D preview of the selected resource.

Locate the Feature Catalog in the list and select
Edit the assigned resource from its menu.
A new tab opens. The selected catalog is open in the Collaborative IP Management app.

Expand the catalog in the tree and select Insert > Insert Existing Object from the menu of the EdgePreparation_UDF, ID:
MfgRsc_Ch_EdgePreparation_UDF node.
Select an object or search the database.

Access the tab that contains the new product (My_Web_Bevel) and select
the root node of the product.
Focus returns to the Collaborative IP Management tab and the product and adds to the EdgePreparation_UDF node.
When adding an Edge preparation in Heavy Industry Structure Fabrication in admin mode, the new UDF is accessible from the Edge Preparation dialog box.
Note: Weld business rules allows you to select the proper edge preparation code according to its context. This code corresponds to a dedicated UDF, which instantiates during the Update IPM. This UDF instantiates with the values in the power copy in the data setup. You can also specify the bevel UDF parameters as required in the weld business rule.
