Removing Chunks of Material

You can delete chunks of material that have been detached from the stock after a material removal simulation. This functionality eliminates false collisions that occur when unwanted chunks remain after being detached from the stock.

Customizing options are available.

Before you begin: Compare the machined stock and the design part.

  1. From the Analysis & Output section of the action bar, click Remove Chunks .
    Note: If there are no chunks of material from the stock to delete, an error message is displayed.
  2. Do any of the following:
    • In the work area, select all the chunks to be deleted.

      The selected chunks are highlighted.

    • In the Remove Chunks dialog box, select Keep and select only one element to keep.
  3. Once all the unwanted parts are selected, click OK.
    The unwanted material is deleted.
