Computing Stock Using Part Sequencing

You can simulate part transfer activities and tool change activities and then compute the stock on different positions. The shape of stock is computed based on material removal on previous positions as input stock (start condition stock) for the first positions of all spindles. If simulation is started after the Compute Stock Using Part Sequencing command has been executed, the stock shape and all affected spindle positions are updated with the computed stock before the Simulation tab is displayed.

  1. Click Part Sequencing .

    See Creating a Part Sequencing.

  2. Right-click Part Sequence or tool change activity in the Activities Process Tree and select Starts Machine Simulation to simulate the activity.
  3. Right-click Part Operation and select Compute Stock using Part Sequencing.
The stock gets computed on different positions.
