Prerequisite for SDD Panel Object

This extends the support of the SDD Panel object with a prerequisite.

The prerequisite is that a Plate PLM object creates under Panel PLM Node for each Split plate Feature. This Plate PLM object is linked to the Split Plate through ports. In Manufacturing App, Manufacturing Items generate for each Plate PLM node under the Manufacturing Assembly node generated for the Panel PLM Node.



A resulting product links to each Manufactured Item. The Resulting product for the SDD panel case aggregates the instance of the Structure Plate under the Panel (without any representation) and also a 3D Shape (Representation). The 3D Shape object registers the visualization of the Split Plate.

Manufactured Items related to Split Plates does not generate if there are no Plate PLM Nodes under the Panel PLM node.

Supporting SDD Panel

This describes different scenarios.

Selection of Data from Auxiliary Viewer and Cross Highlight

  • For the Unplanned Panel part - On selection of an unplanned Plate object, the corresponding Plate PLM object under the Panel PLM object is highlighted.

  • For Planned Panel Part - On selection of a single plate representation from the auxiliary viewer, the corresponding Manufactured Item for the plate (under Manufacturing assembly for the Panel) is highlighted.

Part List

The Part List panel shows the leaf elements. Therefore, only the Plate PLM objects under the Panel object that list in the Part List panel. On selection of the row in the panel, the corresponding element in the Auxiliary viewer and Specification tree is highlighted.

For unplanned data, the State column shows Design State. For planned data, the State column shows Mfg State.

Planned objects are also listed in the Mfg Item tab. Filtering capabilities support for panel data, as is the case for nonstructure design data.

Coloring

Supports coloring capabilities for panel data, as is the case for nonstructure design data.

Click Color Picker from the Auxiliary viewer, and select the Plate representation from the Auxiliary viewer.

Select the required color.
