Creating a Climb Ladder Activity

You can create a climb ladder activity with a manikin.


Before you begin:
  • A 300 mm step height is an accurate rung spacing for a ladder.
  • Before launching ensure that:
    • Create New Task or edit an existing task.
    • Position a Manikin in such a way that it is not too close or too far away from the ladder.
    • Orientate the Manikin toward the ladder.
    • Manikin's hand segments on the ladder, using Gesture/Reach .

  1. Click Create Climb Ladder .


    Climb ladder dialog displays.
  2. Select the rung that the manikin encounters first.
  3. Select the rung that the manikin encounters second.
    The selected rungs highlight and the center axis of the rungs display. Change the first stepping leg if required (right leg is the default option.).
  4. Modify the number of rungs to climb if required, default is 3.
  5. Click Generate Posture.
    A progress bar displays and the climb postures generate. The manikin places on the top of the specified number of rungs.

    Double-clicking Climb Ladder activity from the sequence editor, modify the parameters and then click Generate Posture.
